The 2026 contest for outstanding youth union officials and young disseminators among youths of the Son La provincial Border Guard Command, was held on May 19, with all planned contents completed.

The Youth Union of To Hieu ward, in coordination with the ward Women’s Union, on May 19 organised a series of activities to mark the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2026).

Son La branch of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV Son La) on May 20 organised a ceremony to award scholarships to children of officers and soldiers serving in the People’s Public Security and Vietnam People’s Army forces who achieved outstanding academic results in the 2025–2026 school year. The activity was part of the “80 Years – Gratitude to Soldiers” campaign launched by BIDV.

As part of the “Huong sac vung cao” (The colours and flavours of the highlands) exhibition series from May 8 to 10, a photo exhibition is taking place in Moc Son ward, attracting a large number of residents and visitors.

The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Son La provincial People’s Committee, with the participation of Lai Chau, Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces.

The People’s Procuracy of Area 4 – Son La, in coordination with the Yen Chau commune police and Yen Chau High School, on April 27 organised a programme to disseminate laws on preventing and combating school violence, as well as acts involving the illegal use of military-grade weapons, including highly lethal knives, for more than 1,000 students and youth union members of the school.
