The provincial centre for youth activities organised a forum themed “Son La children compete to follow Uncle Ho's Five Teachings” in Song Ma district, on May 19. The forum was attended by leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation’s chapters, and nearly 500 members, teenagers and children from local primary and secondary schools.

The Study Promotion Association of the Son La High School for the Gifted on May 19 held a ceremony to commend outstanding students and teachers in the 2024–2025 school year.

The provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Son La Foodbank Club and the Thuan Chau district Red Cross Society, on May 15 organised a humanitarian market in Chieng Pha commune under the theme “Humanitarian Journey – Spreading Love.”

The People's Committee of Moc Chau township on May 15 held the Job Fair 2025 . The event, the eighth of its kind, attracted the participation of 30 enterprises and employers, along with more than 1,500 workers, youth union members, young people, and students from local secondary and high schools.

The provincial Department of Education and Training held an event on May 13 at To Hieu Kindergarten in Son La city to sum up the implementation of the "Building child-centered kindergartens" programme in the 2021-2025 period.

The Son La provincial Department of Public Security, in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Association of Binh Duong province, the Youth Board of the Mobile Police Command, and the Phu Yen district Youth Union, on May 9 organise a ceremony to inaugurate the “Hanh phuc cho em” (Happiness for students) satellite school of Suoi O Hamlet Primary School in Quang Huy commune, Phu Yen district.

Son La Newspaper on May 7 handed over 100 million VND (approximately 3,850 USD) from Hanoi-based ETEK Automation Solutions JSC to Hoa Phuong Do Kindergarten in Bo Sinh commune, Song Ma district.
