“Thank You, Workers” programme honours outstanding employees

The Trade Union of the provincial People’s Committee's agencies on May 9 organised the inaugural “Thank You, Workers” programme. The event was attended by representatives from the provincial Labour Federation, eight grassroots trade unions from local businesses, and numerous union members and workers.

As part of the programme, the Trade Union of the provincial People's Committee’s agencies awarded certificates of merit to 30 outstanding union members, workers, and employees in recognition of their excellence in work, community involvement, learning, and innovation. These individuals were commended for their responsibility, creativity, and proactive contributions to both their professional roles and union activities.

In addition, the union presented 20 gifts worth 1 million VND (39 USD) each to members and workers facing difficult circumstances. Grassroots trade unions from participating businesses also gave 50 additional gift packages to support disadvantaged members and workers.

The first-ever programme forms part of a broader campaign in support of Workers' Month and the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health 2025. The initiative reflects the commitment of trade unions to stand by and care for the rights and well-being of their members and the broader labour force.
