The Party Committee of provincial Party Agencies on August 25 held a ceremony to present Party membership badges on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council and Secretary of the Party Committee of provincial Party Agencies, attended the event.

Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on August 25 inspected preparations for the inauguration ceremonies of the Primary and Secondary Boarding Schools in Chieng Khuong and Muong Hung border communes, and the opening of the 2026–2027 academic year at the schools.

The Standing Board of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on August 25 held a “Listening to the people” conference in Chieng Khoong commune to listen to, discuss and address residents’ opinions and petitions on issues related to their livelihoods and daily lives. Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cha A Cua chaired the event.

The provincial Military Party Committee held a conference on August 26 to disseminate the resolutions adopted at the 3rd plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee and the Resolution of the Military Region 2 Party Committee.

The Son La provincial Military Command is the investor of three primary and secondary boarding schools in Phieng Pan, Muong Leo and Chieng Khuong communes. With close coordination among military personnel, militia and self-defence forces and contractors, the projects are being accelerated with additional manpower and equipment while maintaining safety standards, with the aim of completing the schools in time for the 2026-27 academic year.

The Son La provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony on August 22 to inaugurate and launch trial operation of the Long Phieng Primary and Secondary Boarding School. Attending the event were Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, among other officials; along with teachers, students and local residents.

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on August 22 inspected the construction progress of the Phieng Pan Primary and Secondary Boarding School in Phieng Pan commune. He was accompanied by leaders of several relevant provincial departments and agencies.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cha A Cua on August 21 held a working session with the Standing Board of the Nam Ty commune Party Committee to review task performance during the first seven months of 2026 and plans for the remainder of the year.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on August 21 attended the final rehearsal for the inauguration and trial operation of Long Phieng Primary and Secondary Boarding School in Long Phieng commune. Also attending were Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ha Trung Chien, Vice Chairman of the committee Dang Ngoc Hau, and representatives of several departments and agencies.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on August 21 chaired a meeting with representatives of several departments and agencies to finalise data for the adjustment and allocation of 2026 funding for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, as well as prepare for a working session with the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Son La province’s authorities are stepping up measures to prevent and strictly handle illegal mineral exploitation along the Da River, particularly illegal sand mining outside licensed areas.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cha A Cua on August 20 conducted a field survey to assess the use of agricultural and forestry land and the relocation of dairy cattle from the core zone of the Moc Chau National Tourism Area in Thao Nguyen and Van Son wards. He was accompanied by leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Muong Chanh commune, in coordination with Tay Bac University, on August 18 organised a workshop themed “Muong Chanh Tourism: Potential, Current Situation and Solutions.” The event was attended by Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Lo Minh Hung; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, and Phieng Cam, Chieng Mai, Muoi Noi and Binh Thuan communes; as well as scientists, artisans, businesses and cooperatives in the localities.
