Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on July 30 chaired a ceremony to sign a contract for the Van Ho cloudscape therapeutic eco-urban area project. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, on July 28 chaired a meeting on investment preparations and the implementation of compensation, support and resettlement plans for the Moc Chau – Son La – Dien Bien Expressway (CT.03) project – section passing through Son La province.

A delegation of provincial leaders on July 27 offered flowers and incense at the Monument “Uncle Ho and the Ethnic Groups of the Northwestern Region” and President Ho Chi Minh Temple at Tay Bac (Northwest) Square; paid tribute at the Son La Prison Martyrs’ Cemetery; and offered incense in memory of heroic martyrs in Son La Prison on the occasion of the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026).

An exhibition highlighting the 1943 prison break opened at the Son La Prison special national relic site on July 27 as part of the province's 2026 "Ve Nguon" (Back to the Roots) commemorative programme.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on July 27 chaired a meeting of the council for appraising the results of the identification of villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and especially disadvantaged villages in accordance with Government Decree No. 272/2025/ND-CP dated October 16, 2025.

On the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026), Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, on July 27 led a delegation to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiary families in Mai Son commune.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Tien on July 27 inspected the construction progress of primary and secondary boarding schools in Muong Hung and Chieng Khuong communes. Joining the inspection were leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, along with representatives of the project investors and construction contractors.

On the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026), the Son La provincial People's Committee on July 27 organised a meeting with the relatives of political prisoners who were imprisoned at Son La Prison during the 1930–1945 period.

The 8th Congress of the Son La provincial Journalists Association for the 2026–2031 term was held at Studio S350 of Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television on July 26.

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026), Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, on July 26 visited and presented gifts to war invalids, sick veterans, revolutionary contributors, and families of fallen soldiers in To Hieu and Chieng An wards.
