During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, thousands of people from Sơn La province joined the army and fought against the enemies alongside the revolutionary forces of Laos, contributing to the glorious victories of both the Vietnamese and Lao peoples. In peacetime, people-to-people diplomacy with meaningful and practical activities continues to strengthen the traditional, special, loyal, and enduring Vietnam-Laos relationship.

A delegation from the Son La provincial Department of Public Security led by its Deputy Director Colonel Vi Quyen Chu on December 19 visited and had a working session with its counterpart of Laos’ Bokeo province.
