The activity formed part of the 22nd conference on cross-border counternarcotics cooperation between Vietnamese and Lao border provinces, hosted by Son La.

The incense-offering ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People's Committee Dang Ngoc Hau; Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of the provincial Department of Public Security; leaders of the Ministry of Public Security's Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and the Border Guard High Command, and representatives of the participating provinces.

The delegates expressed their profound respect and deep gratitude for the immense contributions to the revolutionary causes of both Vietnam and Laos of the late leader, who laid the foundation for the enduring friendship and solidarity between the Parties, States, and people of the two countries.

They pledged to uphold and carry forward this proud tradition by further strengthening solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation so that the Vietnam–Laos and Laos–Vietnam special relationship will remain forever flourishing and enduring./.
