Accompanying the delegation were Nguyen Viet Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People's Council, and representatives of Son La’s several departments and agencies.
The delegation visited the production and processing facilities of Phuc Sinh Son La Corporation in Chieng Mung commune and the Doveco Son La Fruit and Vegetable Processing Centre in Mai Son commune.
At both sites, the delegation learned about actual farming, crop cultivation and care practices, as well as agricultural processing procedures. Business representatives introduced production techniques, economic performance and plans for securing markets for agricultural products. They also shared experience in developing agricultural production models and assessed soil and climatic conditions suitable for different crops.
Speaking highly of Son La's value-chain model, which links agricultural production with deep processing, Phouvong expressed his hope that Son La would continue to share practical experience in implementing such models.
He also called for support and the transfer of scientific and technological advances, as well as livestock breeds and crop varieties, to help localities in Laos apply these approaches to their own production activities.
