Free health check-ups, medicine offered to Chieng La people

The Son La provincial Red Cross Society on May 16 coordinated with several units in Thuan Chau district to organise health check-ups and consultations and provide free medicine for 250 people from poor and near-poor households, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and victims of Agent Orange in Chieng La commune.

Providing medical examinations and consultations for people in Chieng La commune, Thuan Chau district.

Doctors and nurses from the general hospital and medical centre of Thuan Chau district provided general examinations and health consultations, and guidance on knowledge and skills to prevent some common diseases. At the same time, they also guided locals on how to prevent accidents, injuries and stroke, improve personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, and proper nutrition. In addition, supplements and medicines for common diseases are also provided. The total value of the programme is over 50 million VND (1,930 USD).

The provincial Red Cross Society presents gifts to students of Chieng La Primary School, Chieng La commune, Thuan Chau district.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 150 gifts to students of Vanh Khuyen Chieng La Kindergarten; and 100 gifts to Chieng La Primary School. The Thuan Chau district Red Cross Society also gave 10 gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to poor households in difficult circumstances; while the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Thuan Chau district presented 15 gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to people with disabilities in the commune.
