The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province on August 9 received 4,000 cartons of fruit juice and 150 million VND (5,719 USD) in cash from Hanoi-based Tan Do Beverage Co., Ltd., along with 100 million VND from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to aid disaster recovery efforts.

The provincial Hospital of Dermatology and Leprosy, in coordination with the Youth Union of the Department of Health, on August 9 organised a programme to provide free dermatological examinations and medications for residents in flood-affected areas of Muong Lam commune.

Over five days (from July 30 to August 3), the Youth Union of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organised the “Green Summer Volunteer Campaign” 2025 in Huoi Muon hamlet, Muong La commune.

The Son La provincial Hospital of Dermatology and Leprosy, in coordination with the Youth Union of the Department of Health, on August 8 organised a free medical outreach programme providing dermatological examinations and medication to residents in flood-affected areas of Song Ma and Chieng Khoong communes.

After the two-level local administration model officially operated on July 1, the provincial People's Committee has directed departments and agenciess to reduce and simplify administrative procedures related to production and business, with the goal of eliminating at least 30% of unnecessary investment and business conditions, and reducing 30% of processing time and compliance costs.

In July, the provincial Employment Service Centre coordinated with units to organise career, vocational training and labour export consulting, and provide information on the labour market, employment policies and laws for over 2,500 people.

Since the beginning of this year, Son La Water Supply JSC has supplied nearly 6.3 million cubic meters of clean water to its customers.
