New recruits practice “Three Explosions” training exercise

Infantry Battalion 1, Regiment 754, under the provincial Military Command, on May 25 organised a “Three Explosions” test for 295 new recruits of the 2026 intake.

An officer brief the recruits on safety regulations before conducting live-fire exercises.

The “Three Explosions” test included live-fire shooting with AK assault rifles in Lesson 1 from three positions (prone, kneeling, and standing); explosive charge placement; and long-distance grenade throwing.

During the exercise, recruits were required to strictly follow commanders’ orders and safety regulations; master technical movements; proficiently operate and use weapons; remain calm and confident; and successfully complete all test contents.

The recruits perform the kneeling-position firing test with AK assault rifles.

The test aimed to evaluate the infantry combat training methods of officers, as well as the recruits’ proficiency and ability to use weapons and technical equipment, along with their postures and combat techniques. Based on the results, lessons learned will be drawn to improve future training activities.

Over the next four days (May 26–29), Infantry Battalion 1, Regiment 754 will continue testing the 2026 recruits in long-distance grenade throwing and explosive charge placement.
