Candidates finish Literature test in high school entrance examination

More than 19,000 ninth-grade students across Son La province on June 1 completed their Literature test, the first in the high school entrance examination for the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, the province has established 44 examination venues with a total of 817 rooms.

At the examination venue at Son La High School for the Gifted, many candidates arrived before 7:00, appearing relaxed and confident ahead of the exam. Police officers and youth volunteers helped ensure security and public order, and direct traffic, and provided candidates with drinking water and school supplies.

The examination venue at Son La High School for the Gifted has more than 900 candidates sitting for the entrance examination in 39 rooms. For the upcoming academic year, the school plans to admit 420 Grade 10 students, who will be enrolled in 12 specialised classes.

After 120 minutes, candidates completed the Literature test at 10:00. The administration of the exam proceeded safely and in full compliance with regulations, with no violations reported among either candidates or invigilators. Many candidates expressed satisfaction with their performance.

In the afternoon, candidates are expected to continue with the Mathematics test, which will also last 120 minutes.
