Son La High School for the Gifted commends outstanding students and teachers

The Study Promotion Association of the Son La High School for the Gifted on May 19 held a ceremony to commend outstanding students and teachers in the 2024–2025 school year.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, the school’s students won 38 first, 92 second, 92 third prizes, and 53 consolation prizes at provincial exams for excellent students. They secured two second, eight third, and 21 consolation prizes at national exams, an increase of 14 compared to the 2023–2024 school year. Additionally, they won two first and two second prizes at the provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students. Three of the school’s projects were selected to represent the province at national contests, winning one second, one fourth, and one promising awards.

In addition, the school’s students achieved impressive results in various intellectual and talent competitions such as the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival (2024), the provincial Defence and Security Sports Festival, and robotics competitions. Many students also obtained IELTS certificates with scores as high as 8.0.

At the ceremony, the provincial Association for Promoting Education, the Son La High School for the Gifted, and sponsors honoured and rewarded 309 students who won prizes in academic excellence contests, science-technology and innovation competitions, and other contests at national, regional, and provincial levels. They also commended 47 teachers for their outstanding achievements in guiding students at these competitions.
