At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs briefed the participants on the province’s socio-economic situation and the progress of programmes, projects, and policies aimed at socio-economic development for ethnic minority communities during the 2021–2025 period.
They also highlighted the outcomes of policies in support of prestigious individuals in ethnic minority-inhabited areas in the province.
The department acknowledged that in recent years, prestigious individuals across the province in general, and in Moc Chau township in particular, have worked as bridges for receiving and conveying information, promptly reflecting the opinions and aspirations of local residents to authorities at all levels.
They have also made important contributions to public communication, mediation efforts, and helping raise public confidence in the Party’s leadership and the State’s governance.
These individuals have been a key force in patriotic emulation movements and have played an important role in building and developing their localities, especially through their effective participation in the implementation of national target programmes.
The participating individuals shared hope that in the coming time, the province would continue to allocate resources for socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited areas, while rolling out programmes and policies towards prestigious individuals.
