Welcoming the ambassador and his delegation to Son La, Xuan provided an overview of the province’s notable achievements in politics, socio-economic development, national defence, and security.

She also highlighted the province's strengths and potential, particularly in agricultural economic development, including key products such as tea, coffee, and fruit. She expressed her hope that the ambassador would gain a deeper understanding of Son La's strengths and develop collaboration programmes for sustainable development and investment between the two sides in the near future.

Ambassador Sergio Narea Guzmán thanked the Vice Chairwoman and provincial leaders for their warm and respectful reception. He expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with the province in areas such as agriculture and the export of agricultural and fruit products, contributing to deepening and enhancing the Vietnam–Chile friendship and cooperation.

During the visit, the ambassador and his delegation will explore several exemplary agricultural models and a coffee processing plant in Mai Son district.
