Indian Ambassador to Vietnam visits tourist spots in Moc Chau

Continuing their visit to Son La province, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya and his wife visited several tourist destinations in Moc Chau township on April 1.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya and his entourage visited the Moc Chau Island tourist site, housing the Bach Long Glass Bridge, which has achieved three world records recognised by three prestigious global organisations. They also called at the Phoenix Moc Chau tourist site and Hoa Moc Mien homestay in Vat Hong residential area, Muong Sang ward.

At the sites, leaders from Moc Chau township and local businesses and cooperatives introduced the natural beauty and cultural appeal of Moc Chau, and share their experience in developing tourism while preserving the natural landscape and traditional local values. This provided the ambassador with an overview of the potential and strengths in tourism development, and the quality of tourism services in Moc Chau.

The Indian Ambassador was impressed by the tourism products of the local businesses and cooperatives in Moc Chau township. He also expressed his hope that Son La province would continue to support and create favourable conditions for Indian investors to explore investment opportunities and connect to develop tours to bring Indian tourists to Son La, and specifically to the Moc Chau National Tourism Area.

    Son La province has 14 martyrs cemeteries, seven of which contain 579 graves of fallen soldiers whose identities have yet to be determined. As part of the “500-day-and-night campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains,” the province has completed DNA sampling for identification purposes at all seven cemeteries.
