In the atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of the National Assembly deputies warmly welcomed the visiting Lao delegation and briefed them on the province’s outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, political-security situation, social order and safety, border security and cooperation with Lao localities.

Dong congratulated the ambassador for excellently performing his working term in Vietnam, making important contributions to the relationship between the two countries. He also thanked the Lao Embassy delegation for their sentiments towards Son La province.

For his part, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and congratulated the province on the results it has achieved in all spheres. He highly valued the help Son La has given to the provinces of Laos, especially in training Lao students, developing infrastructure, and transferring scientific and technical advances in agricultural development.

He expressed his hope that Son La province will continue to cooperate with and support the Lao provinces in various fields, contributing to deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
