Lao students in Son La celebrate Lunar New Year

Son La College on January 17 organised a meeting with Lao students who are learning here on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025.

At the event, delegates and Lao students reviewed the tradition of solidarity and close ties between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Son La and the northern Lao provinces; and the training of Lao students at the college. Currently, the school is training 336 students from the northern Lao provinces.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Son La city Party Committee Ha Trung Chien wished all teachers and both Vietnamese and Lao students at Son La College a happy new year. At the same time, the provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented Tet gifts to Lao students on the occasion of the Year of the Snake.

Previously, the college organised cultural, art and sports activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year for Lao students, such as bamboo dance, xoe dance, and cloth ball throwing competition to help them experience and learn about the customs and culture of the Vietnamese people on the Tet holiday.
