Military Commands of Song Ma district and Houaphanh province’s Muong Et district convene meeting

The Military Command of Son La province’s Song Ma district and the Military Command of Muong Et district of Laos’ Houaphanh province held a meeting in Song Ma district on December 26.

The meeting between Military Command of Son La province’s Song Ma district and the Military Command of Muong Et district of Laos’ Houaphanh province.

During the past year, the Song Ma district Military Command has regularly coordinated with relevant agencies to grasp and promptly inform the situation to the Military Command of Muong Et district through unscheduled meetings and information exchange events. It has teamed up with the Na Ha - Muong Et border guard station of Houaphanh province to organise bilateral patrols from markers 203 to 215 and the entire border system, with 16 participants. The Muong Cai border guard station has also joined hands with Lao forces in patrols, with 24 officers and soldiers participating. As a result, the shared border line has been safeguarded and political security on the border has been maintained, helping people in the border areas of the two districts feel secure in production.

In the coming time, the Military Commands of the two districts will continue to maintain meetings according to the signed regulations to exchange information on issues arising in their border areas; while regularly educating people in border areas to maintain traditional solidarity and build a border line of peace, cooperation and friendship.
