Implementing the memorandum of understanding on their cooperation, the two sides have proactively grasped the situation and coordinated well to solve related arising issues, contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and safety of each province; regularly exchanged information and coordinated to advise Party committees and authorities to properly address free migration; and actively encouraged locals to implement border regulations, and uphold their responsibility in building a stable and comprehensively developed Vietnam-Laos border line.

In the coming time, the two Military High Commands will step up communications on traditional solidarity, special friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, and between Son La and Xieng Khouang; enhance the exchange of experience in socio-economic development, and in building armed forces between the two provinces, especially in interpreter training and military operations; and regularly maintain the regime of periodic and rotating meetings at the military high command level between the two provinces in 2024.

On the same day, the Military High Command of Xieng Khouang province visited and encouraged Lao soldiers studying Vietnamese language at Regiment 754 under the Military High Command of Son La province; and visited the barracks of Battalion 1, Regiment 754.
