During the meeting, the delegates and Lao students reflected on the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Son La province and northern Laos. Since 2001, the Son La College has trained nearly 4,000 Lao students from nine northern Lao provinces in Vietnamese language and other majors. Currently, the college is training 314 Lao students, providing them with accommodations in dormitories equipped with all necessary facilities to meet their studying and living needs. In December 2024, the college will welcome an additional 40 Lao students for Vietnamese language training.
