Son La, Houaphanh exchange experience in fighting cross-border crimes

Leaders of the People's Procuracies of Son La province and Laos’ Houaphanh province held talks in Son La city on September 11 to exchange experience and boost coordination in the fight against cross-border crimes.

 

At the talks to exchange experience and boost coordination in the fight against cross-border crimes between Son La and Houaphanh.

The two sides informed each other about the socio-economic and defence and security situation in their respective provinces and the activities of the provincial People's Procuracies.

At the event, the two sides signed the minutes of their talks, agreeing to strengthen coordination in implementing the cooperation documents signed between the Chief Prosecutors of the Supreme People's Procuracies of Vietnam and Laos; exchange experience and information on crime prevention and control activities and cross-border drug control.

They will share information on issues occurring in the border areas of the two countries to promptly coordinate in solving difficulties and obstacles, and improve the effectiveness of the fight against transnational crimes.

They also pledged to deliver support and coordination when each side requests judicial assistance, and maintain mutual visits and experience exchanges.
