Son La leaders congratulate Laos on 50th National Day

A working delegation from Son La province led by Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, on November 26 visited the Lao Embassy in Vietnam to offer congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Laos’ National Day (December 2, 1975 – 2025) and the 105th birthday of President Kaysone Phomvihane.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cha A Cua provides information on Son La’s socio-economic situation.

On behalf of the delegation, Cua extended the warmest congratulations to the embassy and the people of all ethnic groups in Laos, affirming that Son La always values and preserves the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

He also briefed the Lao ambassador on Son La’s socio-economic situation, the province’s cooperation with nine Lao provinces over recent years, as well as activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Lao National Day in Son La. 

In the coming time, the province will continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including people-to-people diplomacy, education and training, border trade, tourism connectivity, and cultural exchange, he noted.

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh expressed her appreciation for the solidarity and friendship that the Party Organisation, authorities, and people of Son La province have consistently shown toward Lao provinces over the years. He affirmed that Son La is one of the localities with the most extensive and enduring cooperation with Lao provinces, especially in human resource training.

In the coming time, the ambassador said she will visit and work in Son La, and expressed her hope that the province will continue to support the Lao Embassy in Vietnam in successfully fulfilling the tasks entrusted by the Lao Party and State.
