Son La police work with counterparts in Lao provinces

On the occasion of Bunpimay, the traditional New Year festival of Laos, and the 64th founding anniversary of the Lao Police Force, a working delegation from the Son La provincial Department of Public Security led by its Director Major General Dang Trong Cuong visited to extend New Year greetings and hold working sessions with the police departments of Laos’ Houaphanh, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang provinces on April 7-11.

On behalf of Son La police, Major General Cuong extended his deepest condolences to the people of Laos general, and to police forces in Houaphanh, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang in particular, on the passing of General Khamtay Siphandone, former President of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of Laos.

On the occasion of the traditional New Year festival Bunpimay and the successful Party Congresses of the police forces of Luang Prabang and Houaphanh provinces, he extended his heartfelt congratulations to all officers and soldiers of the respective police departments.

In an atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, the leaders of the police forces of Son La and Houaphanh, Oudomxay, and Luang Prabang shared information and exchanged updates on their operations and results. The parties agreed to further strengthen unity, cooperation, and coordination in ensuring security and order, combating and preventing crime, especially drug-related crime, and maintaining security and order in border areas, thereby contributing to the stability and development of each province and each country.
