The association has developed a plan focusing on five groups of tasks and solutions, including improving the role and operational efficiency of the provincial Business Association and its branches and member organizations; improving the business environment for enterprises; promoting digital transformation and innovation in businesses; supporting labor supply and demand connections and improving the quality of human resources in businesses; increasing the effectiveness of policies and resources to support businesses in improving their competitiveness and proactively integrating into the world for recovery and sustainable development.

Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the provincial Business Association, said the association has focused on updating information about events related to production and business, legitimate rights and interests of enterprises, and regimes and policies for workers, thus helping companies build production and business development plans.

Promoting digital transformation and innovation in businesses, since the beginning of the year, the association has coordinated with the Enterprise Development Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the provincial Department of Planning and Investment to organize a training course entitled "Digital transformation: strategic thinking and business models for leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises in Son La province" for more than 70 SME leaders. It has also joined hands with the provincial Department of Information and Communications to hold the conference "Solutions to promote digital transformation for businesses and people in Son La province in 2023". In addition, a workshop on some solutions to develop green economy and circular economy for agricultural, processing and service enterprises was also held.

Loc Mau Trien, Director of the Chieng Sung Agricultural Joint Stock Company, shared that his company has actively participated in activities and seminars organised by the association, considering them an opportunity to exchange, learn and share experience, creating many links between businesses operating in the agricultural sector, and realising the goal of developing green economy and circular economy in accordance with the province's orientation.

Supporting businesses to find partners and customers, the provincial Business Association has signed a cooperation agreement between the Business Associations of provinces and cities and the Vietnam Association for Consumer Goods Development (VACOD) and another between the Business Associations of four northwest provinces (Son La, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien and Lai Chau) and the Vietnam International Arbitration Center on legal support for businesses. It has encouraged member businesses to proactively improve production capacity, regularly improve designs and quality, and diversify products to meet consumer needs.

The association has connected and supported member enterprises in production cooperation activities and grasped difficulties and obstacles to promptly report and make recommendations to authorities at all levels for solutions, creating favourable conditions for businesses to surf difficulties, recover and develop, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
