China-ASEAN Expo to offer opportunity for Son La to promote trade

Son La province will showcase their products at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023) in Nanning city, Guangxi province, China from September 15-19.

The annual event will be an opportunity to promote the images of Vietnamese country and businesses in general and Son La province in particular to international friends, opening up many trade opportunities.

The 20th China-ASEAN Expo is expected to see ASEAN countries and host China display their products at 2,800 booths. In addition to showcasing goods, this year's expo will also feature more than 100 trade and investment promotion events, conferences and seminars of the participating countries.

This year, Son La province is honored to represent Vietnam at the expo for the first time. Pinning high hopes on this event, the province has selected typical local products to display and introduce at the booth, hoping that countries in the ASEAN region and China would know Son La as a land full of potential for trade, investment and tourism.

The province's 180sq.m "Beautiful City" booth, themed "Son La – A clean agricultural product hub”, has been basically completed, with the active participation of relevant departments and agencies. Designed by the Department of Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the booth will display products in three areas, including trade, investment and tourism. Currently, 13 businesses and cooperatives in the province have registered to send products to the expo.

In terms of trade, strong products that meet export standards such as fruits and processed agricultural products will be showcased, along with documents, publications, and unique, impressive promotional messages to be delivered to visitors.

In the investment field, Son La plans to introduce documents, publications, and photos featuring its socio-economic development achievements, project lists, and investment attraction policies.

Meanwhile, the local tourism sector will introduce images, videos and documents about local people, typical culture, scenic spots, tourist areas, traditional festivals, tourism products, and tours.

Joining CAEXPO 2023 will help businesses and cooperatives in the province seize many investment and business opportunities, promote economic and trade cooperation, and introduce the land and people of Son La to China, ASEAN and partners inside and outside the region.
