November aquaculture output reaches 685.2 tonnes

Son La province’s aquaculture output in November is estimated at 685.2 tonnes, including 676 tonnes of fish, 0.2 tonnes of shrimp and 8.6 tonnes of other aquatic products .

Compared with the same period last year, farmed fish output rose 0.21% year-on-year, while other aquatic products declined 4.44%. The cumulative figure for the first 11 months is estimated at more than 7,129 tonnes, including 7,026 tonnes of fish, 0.8 tonnes of shrimp and nearly 102 tonnes of other aquatic products. Year on year, farmed fish production increased 1.57%.

Despite unfavourable weather conditions, proactive application of technical measures, improved husbandry and disease prevention by farmers helped prevent major outbreaks, keeping output stable.
