So far, the fund, in coordination with VBSP Son La, has disbursed 6.1 billion VND (231,360 USD) to 65 members of cooperatives and cooperative groups. The fund continues to direct its members to review borrowing needs according to the province’s prioritised list, giving priority to disbursing capital for high-tech agricultural cooperatives linked to value chains and cooperatives with OCOP (one commune one product) products.
It also guides cooperatives in preparing loan dossiers in compliance with regulations, while working with VBSP Son La to strengthen management and supervision to ensure that loans are used appropriately and effectively.

Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Women’s Union has coordinated with VBSP Son La to maintain 529 savings and loan groups, supported 9,430 households of union members to borrow capital for production development, with a total outstanding loan of nearly 1.9 trillion VND.
The Women’s Unions at all levels has conducted inspections of 690 borrowing households to ensure funds are used correctly; and organised 68 training classes on entrusted credit operations with the provincial bank for more than 3,300 participants, thus enhancing the capacity of members and the credit activities at the grassroots level.
