Phong Lai tea production follows VietGAP standards

Phong Lai commune in Thuan Chau district, Son La province, is home to 650 hectares of tea, which yield 7,800 tonnes per year.

Every year, the commune guides local farmers to grow tea in accordance with VietGAP standards. It also coordinates with specialised agencies to complete procedures and documents seeking the recognition of "Phong Lai high-tech tea area" for businesses and cooperatives in need.

Since the beginning of this year, local farmers have harvested nearly 60,000 tonnes of fresh tea buds, of which Thu Dan Tea Company Limited and Binh Thuan Production, Business and General Services Cooperative pre-processed 1,000 tonnes of dry tea.
