At Wincommerce, which owns Winmart/Winmart+ supermarket systems, Cong thanked the company for accompanying Son La in bringing its agricultural products into the Winmart+ supermarket chain. He affirmed the province’s orientation of developing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture and circular agriculture, and creating large concentrated commodity production areas; and proposed the company continue creating conditions for Son La agricultural products to be available at the Winmart+ supermarket chain nationwide to serve consumers.
WinCommerce owns 131 WinMart supermarkets and more than 3,500 WinMart+/WIN stores in 62 provinces and cities across the country. This system of supermarkets has been selling 12 fruits and eight vegetable products from Son La, which are appreciated by customers. The company representative showed a wish to continue cooperating with businesses and cooperatives in the province to bring more local farm produce into the company’s supermarket system; while recommending Son La pay attention to improving the quality and design of agricultural products, because customers are the ones who decide whether Son La agricultural products are present in Winmart's supermarket system or not.
At Central Retail, the owner of the BigC supermarket system and many supermarket systems and convenience store chains, Cong suggested that the corporation continue to maintain and expand the sale of local agricultural products in its systems; and support the province to organise annual agricultural product weeks. He conveyed the invitation by the provincial Party Committe’s standing board to the corporation's leaders to soon work with Son La to propose plans to build a trade centre in the locality.
Vice Chairman Cong and representatives of the two businesses signed cooperation agreements on stepping up the promotion and sale of Son La province's agricultural products in their supermarket systems in 2024 and the following years.
