Son La strawberries included in in-flight menu of Vietnam Airlines

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has offered Son La strawberries to passengers on its flights, both domestic and international, from March 26-30, with up to 500 kilograms per day.

Strawberries are classified at the warehouse of Danko Import-Export JSC in Hanoi.

The Son La branch of Danko Import-Export JSC (Danko Son La) has purchased the amount of strawberries, grown in Mai Son and Moc Chau districts following VietGAP standards with organic fertilizers. They were classified, packaged at night and transported to the company’s warehouse in Hanoi. The company’s workers have continued with the selection and packaging work before delivering the fruits to the warehouse of Noi Bai Catering Services JSC.

At the warehouse of Noi Bai Catering Services, Son La strawberries underwent testing to ensure that they satisfy 58 food hygiene and safety criteria before being served to passengers.

Apart from fresh strawberries, Noi Bai Catering Services has signed an agreement with Danko Son La for frozen strawberries to be served on flights throughout the year.

Strawberry is Son La's third fruit, apart from longan and plum, to be included in in-flight meals of Vietnam Airlines, contributing to raising the brands and values of local farm produce.
