Son La’s industrial production index jumps 33.5%

In November, the production index of Son La’s manufacturing and processing sector rose 36.28%, while that of the water supply, waste, and wastewater management sector increased 8%, and the mining industry edged up 0.06%. In contrast, the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector fell 56.82%.

In the first 11 months, the province’s overall industrial production index increased 5%. The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector expanded by 5.6%; the mining industry advanced 8.33%; the manufacturing and processing sector grew 2.52%; and the water supply, waste, and wastewater management sector climbed 5.8%.

The full-year index is estimated to rise 6.5%, exceeding the target by about 1 percentage point.
