Son La’s OCOP products promoted in HCM City

Son La province showcased its OCOP (One Commune One Product) products at the National Press Festival 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City on March 15-17.

The biggest festival for journalists across the country took place on Le Loi street, Ben Nghe ward, District 1. In addition to the booths introducing publications from press agencies, the Organizing Committee also arranged 64 booths to display and sell OCOP products from 50 provinces and cities across the country.

Visiting the exhibition areas, residents and tourists had a chance to try a variety of specialties of regions across the country before buying. Many booths were meticulously and methodically invested. The enthusiastic consultancy from exhibitors’ members brought a pleasant and comfortable feeling for visitors.

Introducing Son La’s booth, Bui Thi Anh from the coordination office of the national target programme for new-style rural area building in the province, said Son La is a land suitable for many types of fruit trees. Its signature products such as tea and coffee are famous throughout the country. “Participating in this festival, we feel very proud to introduce Son La's specialties to many domestic and international friends,” she said.

Satisfied with her experience at this year's OCOP booths, Le Phuong Lan from District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, said grasping the news that the National Press Festival would arrange OCOP booths for the first time, my family decided to visit on the weekend. My family bought a lot of products mainly from the North, especially dried fruit products from Son La province, which are very delicious and very impressive.

The good news is that after two days of display, over 90% of Son La province's products were sold, proving the appeal of the products to customers in HCM City. The province’s presence at the National Press Festival 2024 contributed to promoting the local agricultural product brands, helping Son La OCOP products become more and more popular.
