Trade with neighbouring Lao provinces valued at over 982,000 USD

The value of goods exports and imports between Son La province and its neighbouring Lao provinces reached over 982,000 USD in 2023.

Of which, the export value hit 718,850 USD, an increase of 81.35% compared to 2022, mainly from agricultural products, construction materials, consumer goods, animal feed, and fertilizers.

Meanwhile, the import value was 263,230, up 6.22% year-on-year, mainly from agricultural products, machinery and equipment for production and business.

Currently, Son La province is coordinating with neighbouring Lao provinces to manage border trade activities so as to ensure compliance with the Party guidelines and State policies and laws of the two countries.
