Training course equips women’s union members with business promotion skills

The Women's Union of Son La province, in collaboration with the management board of the Gender Responsive Equitable Agriculture and Tourism (GREAT) project, is organising a training course themed "Business Acceleration" for 33 women’s union members in Son La province from November 29 to December 1.

The participants come from six cooperatives, business groups, and households in Van Ho, Yen Chau, Phu Yen, Bac Yen, and Mai Son districts, and Son La city.

They are provided with knowledge regarding financial management; tax risk management; reading and interpreting financial reports for investment and production decisions; preparing financial reports; leadership skills for "business acceleration" units; leadership principles; inspiring, team-building, coaching and mentoring skills; and work-life balance.

The course aims to assist women’s union members in managing and leading cooperatives and production facilities, and improving their management capacity and skills in production and business organization. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for participants to meet and learn from each other, and share best practices from successful collective economic models led by women, for sustainable production and business development.
