Book festival promotes reading culture associated with digital transformation

As part of the series of activities at the Son La Book and Science-Technology Festival 2026, the “The House of Wisdom” booth presentation contest created a highlight with impressive reading experience spaces, attracting a large number of visitors.

A total of 18 teams from schools and the wards of To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng An, and Chieng Sinh took part in the contest. The booths were elaborately designed and vividly decorated, and bear rich cultural identity.

In addition to book displays, the teams delivered presentations on their booth designs, the featured books, and the role of reading culture in contemporary life.

In addition, the festival also featured booths showcasing technological products from local organisations and businesses, introducing new reading experiences that integrate technology and artificial intelligence (AI), with supporting tools that make book content more vivid and accessible to readers.

The reading space at the festival offered residents, especially students, youth union members, and soldiers, new reading experiences, contributing to the promotion of reading culture, inspiring a passion for learning and scientific research, and fostering reading habits within the community.

As part of the “500-day-and-night campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains,” the province has completed DNA sampling for identification purposes at all seven cemeteries.
