Campaign launched to support To Hieu Scholarship Fund in 2025

The provincial People's Committee on February 25 launched a campaign to raise donations for the "To Hieu Scholarship Fund" in 2025.

The launch ceremony was attended by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lo Minh Hung;  members of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and members of the provincial Party Committee; and leaders of departments, agencies, and socio-political organisations in the province.

The launch ceremony was connected online to the district-level Party Committees, the Party Committee of the provincial agencies and enterprises’ bloc, and communes, wards, and towns across the province.

The To Hieu Scholarship Fund was established on January 10, 2019, under Decision No. 82/QĐ-UBND by the provincial People's Committee. The fund is named after the revolutionary and martyr To Hieu, and so far, it has raised over 16 billion VND (626,590 USD). Over the past six years, the fund's management council has awarded 5,199 scholarships, totaling more than 3.9 billion VND. The fund has expanded beneficiaries, not only students at all education levels but also adults, the elderly, and individuals who have contributed significantly to promoting education and talent development.

Provincial leaders make donations at the launch ceremony.

The provincial People's Committee calls for contributions from agencies, units, and individuals to the fund. All the money raised will be used in accordance with the fund's mission and objectives, as well as in compliance with current financial regulations. The donations of individuals, organisations, and businesses will be recognised and publicly praised on the media, and contributors will receive a plaque of appreciation for their support.

Immediately after the launch, delegates attending the ceremony made donations and registered to support the To Hieu Scholarship Fund with a total amount of over 270 million VND. Initial reports indicate that Moc Chau township donated 50 million VND; Bac Yen district over 25.9 million VND.
