Collectives, individuals awarded certificates of merit for contributions to Vietnam - Laos border work

The provincial People's Committee held a conference on May 9 to award its chairman’s certificates of merit to collectives and individuals of Son La province, and Laos’ Houaphanh and Luang Prabang provinces for their outstanding contributions to Vietnam - Laos border work.

Attending the event were Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee; Trang Thi Xuan, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee, head of the provincial Steering Committee for Border Affairs; Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People's Committee; Phutphan Keovongxay, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Governor, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Border Committee of Houaphanh; and Bunluom Manivong, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Border Committee of Luang Prabang.

At the event, a leader of the Department of Home Affairs of Son La province announced Decision No. 1091/QD-UBND dated May 9, 2025 of the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee to present certificates of merit to 30 collectives and 10 individuals of the three provinces with oustanding achievements in border work since 2024.

This move contributes to strengthening the solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos and between Son La, and Houaphanh and Luang Prabang.
