Contract signed for Moc Chau Gateway Urban Service Area project

A contract for the Moc Chau Gateway Urban Service Area project was signed on October 22 between the Son La provincial People’s Committee and the consortium of VINA2 Investment and Construction JSC and Bac Nam No. 2 Construction JSC.

The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments, agencies and sectors, representatives of the investors, and officials from Van Son ward People’s Committee.

The project will be implemented in Van Son ward, covering a total area of approximately 387,403 square metres, with an estimated population of about 2,600 people. It includes the construction of technical infrastructure, social infrastructure facilities, and around 593 low-rise housing units.

The total investment capital is estimated at nearly 2.36 trillion VND (89.57 million USD), including 2.23 trillion VND for project implementation, 117.3 billion VND for land clearance and compensation, and 8 billion VND for land protection and development of rice cultivation areas.

The project will be financed through the investor’s equity and other lawful mobilised capital sources. The estimated project duration is 57 months.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Tien emphasised that the project aims to develop a modern, well-planned residential area with synchronised technical and social infrastructure to meet housing and commercial service needs of local residents. It will also optimise land use, improve urban planning and landscape, attract non-budgetary investment resources, and contribute to the province’s socio-economic development.

A representative of the consortium expressed gratitude for the close guidance and support from the provincial People’s Committee during the project preparation phase.

Right after the signing ceremony, it committed to quickly completing legal procedures, developing detailed implementation plans, and mobilising maximum resources to ensure the project is carried out on schedule, with guaranteed quality, in full compliance with legal regulations.

The consortium also pledged to work closely with relevant local authorities to bring the project into operation as soon as possible, maximising investment efficiency.
