Contracts for urban area projects signed

The People’s Committee of Son La province held a ceremony on November 18 to sign contracts for the Moc Chau Model Urban Area (now in Thao Nguyen ward) with the consortium of IFT Investment Finance and Technology Security JSC and Ho Tay Urban Investment JSC; and the Bo Bun Urban Area Project in Binh Minh ward (now Van Son ward) with Moc Chau Real Estate Development Investment JSC.

Attending the signing ceremony were Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; leaders of several relevant departments and agencies; and representatives of the investors.

The Moc Chau Model Urban Area project in Thao Nguyen ward covers a land area of 97.79 hectares and has an estimated population of about 5,020 people. It includes the construction of a system of technical infrastructure works covering 323,195 sq.m. Social infrastructure facilities managed by local authorities include a cultural house (1,908 sq.m) and the Moc Chau urban sports complex (58,222 sq.m).

The project also includes tourism facilities; commercial and service facilities; schools; green spaces and water surfaces. The total number of new residential lots is 1,255, with a residential land area of 220,802 sq.m and a construction floor area of 427,847 sq.m. The project’s total investment is more than 3.676 trillion VND (139.3 million USD). The contract implementation period is 50 years.

The Bo Bun Urban Area project covers an area of 99,950 sq.m and has an estimated population of around 1,232. The project includes social infrastructure construction covering 34,177 sq.m; housing areas including rough-built houses, completed-infrastructure lots, resettlement land, and rough-built social housing covering about 40,763 sq.m, with a total construction floor area of 101,348 sq.m; and existing residential land covering about 3,717 sq.m. The project’s total investment is 688 billion VND. The contract implementation period is 47 months from the signing date.

Speaking at the ceremony, Viet requested investors to closely coordinate with departments, sectors, and local authorities, and dedicate efforts and resources to ensure timely, high-quality implementation in compliance with legal regulations, thereby contributing to improving urban infrastructure and creating a new appearance for the locality.
