Defence Ministry delegation visits Long Sap Int’l Border Gate Border Guard Station

A delegation from the Ministry of National Defence led by Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau on November 13 paid a working visit to the Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong; leaders of the provincial Military Command and the provincial Border Guard Command; and leaders of Moc Chau ward and Long Sap commune.

During the working session, after hearing reports on local socio-economic development, national defence and security, and border guard tasks, Gau, who is also a Party Central Committee member, congratulated Son La province on its achievements in recent times. The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that in the coming period, the provincial People’s Committee would continue to support the armed forces, especially the Border Guard force.

He requested that the Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station continue to uphold its sense of responsibility, closely coordinate with relevant agencies, local authorities, and Lao border protection forces; demonstrate strong determination; and excellently fulfill its tasks in managing and firmly safeguarding the national sovereignty and border security.
