Deputy PM inspects production, road progress, operation of 2-level local administration model in Son La province

During their working visit to Son La province on November 18, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and a working delegation inspected the production situation, the progress of a road project and the operation of 2-level local administration model in the province.

Participating in the delegation were Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and representatives of some provincial departments and agencies.

The Deputy PM and the working delegation inspected the production and business situation at the DOVECO Son La Agricultural Processing Centre in Mai Son commune. After two years of operation, the DOVECO Son La Agricultural Processing Centre has built a sustainable production chain with thousands of farmers, forming a raw material area of ​​more than 5,200 hectares of fruit trees and vegetables. In 2025, the centre plans to purchase and process 80,000 tonnes of various agricultural products.

Son appreciated the efforts of enterprises in investing in technology, expanding raw material areas and building a closed agricultural value chain, contributing significantly to promoting the restructuring of Son La province's agriculture towards sustainability and modernity.

At the same time, he requested the DOVECO Son La Agricultural Processing Centre to continue to improve its deep processing capacity, increase the rate of products meeting export standards, and expand the market to increase the added value of local agricultural products.

He requested Son La province to closely coordinate with enterprises in planning raw material areas, promoting links with farmers and supporting the development of infrastructure serving local agricultural production.

Next, the Deputy PM inspected the progress of the Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan road project - section Km2+327 - Km7+527 (in Chieng Sinh ward). The project has a total investment of 130 billion VND (4.93 million USD) sourced from the provincial budget, implemented in the period of 2024-2027.

To date, compensation and site clearance work has been completed with all 39 households and organisations having their compensation plans approved. Regarding disbursement, the total capital allocated is over 64 billion VND, with 46 billion VND already disbursed, reaching 71%.

The working delegation presents gifts to the construction workers of the Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan road project.

Inspecting and evaluating the operations of the Chieng Coi ward Public Administration Service Centre, Deputy PM Son acknowledged the efforts of the Chieng Coi authorities in administrative reform associated with digital transformation. He also requested them to continue perfecting the information technology infrastructure, enhancing the application of digital data and improving the skills of officials, while maintaining service quality and listening to people's feedback to build a professional, modern and effective administration.
