Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee works with Chieng Khuong commune

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cha A Cua visited and had a working session with the Party Committee of Chieng Khuong commune to review Party building, consolidation of the political system, and the socio-economic, national defence and security situation in the locality on December 18.

Chieng Khuong commune, established through the merger of the entire natural area and population of Chieng Khuong and Muong Sai communes, boasts a borderline of 26.4 km, with nine hamlets bordering Laos.

The Standing Board of the communal Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the studying, dissemination, and strict, comprehensive implementation of directives, resolutions and conclusions issued by the Party Central Committee, the Government, and the province. Party membership development has been carried out in accordance with regulations, with 22 new Party members admitted in 2025, fulfilling 100% of the assigned target.

The commune’s total farming area reaches nearly 5,000 hectares, with grain output exceeding 12,000 tonnes. Farmers have actively shifted crops on sloping land, expanding the fruit tree area to 1,167 hectares. Livestock production continues to grow, with total herds exceeding 23,000 head. Political security, social order and safety, and national defence and security have been maintained.

Speaking at the meeting, Cua called on the commune to strengthen political and ideological education for officials, Party members and the public, enhancing proper awareness of the importance of Party development in the current period.

He urged intensified communication to encourage people to tap local potential and advantages, expand production, business and service activities to promote economic growth and improve living standards. He emphasised promoting the combined strength of the people, building an all-people national defence and people’s security posture, and combating crimes and social evils.

The commune was also requested to effectively implement grassroots democracy regulations and improve the quality and effectiveness of the “all people safeguard Fatherland security” movement.

Earlier, the working delegation inspected the construction progress of the Chieng Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School. At the site, the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee requested the contractor to mobilise maximum machinery and manpower, speed up construction, and ensure schedule, quality and absolute safety during implementation.
