Digital tourism project inaugurated at Nhot hamlet forest anti-French resistance historical site

Gia Phu commune on July 19 held an incense offering ceremony at the Temple of General Vo Nguyen Giap and inaugurated a digital tourism project at the historical site marking the resistance war against French colonialism in the Nhot hamlet forest.

The project was implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Phu commune, with two QR code scanning points installed—one at the entrance of the historical site and another at the Temple of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

These QR codes integrate visual and audio content introducing the biography, life, and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap, as well as information about the location, scale, architectural features, formation history, and historical-cultural value of the site.

This project marks a breakthrough initiative following Gia Phu commune’s transition to a new operational model. It reflects innovation and creativity in local governance, and the application of digital technology to promoting tourism closely linked with the cultural and historical heritage of the homeland.

It also serves as a project to celebrate the first Party Congress of Gia Phu commune for the 2025–2030 term.
