Efforts made to start work on Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway’s Son La section on May 19

Son La province is accelerating efforts to begin construction on the section of the Hoa Binh-Moc Chau Expressway through the province on May 19.

The information was shared at a meeting of the steering committee for the construction of the section, chaired by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet, who is also head of the steering committee, on April 22.

The event, held in-person in Son La city and connected online to Moc Chau township and Van Ho district, was also attended by Vice Chairmen of the provincial People's Committee Le Hong Minh and Dang Ngoc Hau; and members of the steering committee.

Regarding the preparation for the ground-breaking ceremony, the provincial Traffic Project Management Board finalised a list of guests to send to the provincial People's Committee for approval; developed a detailed script for the ceremony; and designed the stage layout.

Speaking at the meeting, Viet requested Van Ho district to speed up the construction progress of four resettlement areas according to regulations; and move the power lines soon. Moc Chau was asked to speed up site clearance, while departments and agencies were urged to coordinate with and support investors, and speed ​​up the progress for approving the investment plans of construction material mines to serve the project implementation.

The leader also required the provincial Traffic Project Management Board to urgently evaluate bids, prepare for the groundbreaking ceremony, and complete these works before April 30; speed up mine clearance; and promptly complete the procedures to start construction on the remaining two packages.
