Election preparations in Phu Yen area inspected

Vi Duc Tho, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on March 14 led a working delegation to inspect the preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly an People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Phu Yen, Gia Phu, and Tuong Ha communes.

As of March 14, Phu Yen commune had completed the public posting of the voter lists and the brief biographies of candidates at seven constituences. The decoration and ceremonial arrangements, along with information and communication activities, have been implemented in a coordinated manner, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere among the people. The commune currently has a total of 32,301 voters.

In Gia Phu commune, the communal Election Committee has proactively prepared adequate facilities at six constituences, with 28 polling stations, and completed the public posting of the list of 14,233 voters. The commune’s police and military forces have been fully mobilised to ensure security, public order, and traffic safety before and during election day.

In Tuong Ha commune, along with thoroughly preparing the conditions for organising the election, plans have been developed and implemented to ensure security, public order, and fire prevention and firefighting at 21 polling stations. Currently, the locality is continuing to review and update the voter lists to ensure the rights of citizens.

Vi Duc Tho requested the local authorities to continue carefully reviewing all preparation steps and accurately updating the voter lists; to strengthen information and communication efforts so that voters actively participate in voting and fully exercise their rights and civic duties.

They were urged to develop plans to handle arising situations, thereby creating favourable conditions for voters to cast their ballots fully and in accordance with law, ensuring that election day truly becomes a festival for the entire people.
