Election preparations in To Hieu, Chieng Coi wards inspected

Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, inspected preparations for the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in To Hieu and Chieng Coi wards on January 27.

Implementing preparations for the elections, To Hieu has mobilised the entire political system, seriously and effectively carrying out all tasks in line with the law and plans issued by the provincial Party Committee, the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Election Committee. To date, the ward People’s Committee has established eight election boards and plans to set up 27 polling teams corresponding to 27 polling stations across the ward. The ward police have been assigned to coordinate with the residential areas, hamlets and the ward election committee to review and compile voter lists, which are scheduled to be publicly posted on February 1.

Chieng Coi has organised four training conferences to disseminate and implement guidelines, directives, resolutions and instructions from central and provincial authorities on the elections. Grassroots units have also held meetings to brief all Party members and local residents on election-related documents. So far, the ward People’s Committee has established six election boards in accordance with the law, along with 30 polling teams and 30 polling stations. The first round of consultations and preparation of voter lists have been carried out seriously, in line with procedures, content and timelines prescribed by law.

Speaking at the working sessions with To Hieu and Chieng Coi wards, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee urged the two wards to step up communication and public outreach on the upcoming elections to ensure all officials, Party members and residents are fully informed. He stressed strict compliance with the election timetable, continued thorough review and public posting of voter lists, and the need to ensure security and public order, so as to be fully prepared for the next stages of the elections in accordance with the law.
