EU Ambassador to Vietnam visits Phuc hamlet nickel mine

EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier visited the nickel mine in Phuc hamlet, Muong Khoa commune, Bac Yen district, on February 19, part of his trip to Son La province.

The delegation visits the nickel mine in Phuc hamlet, Muong Khoa commune, Bac Yen district.

Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders from various provincial departments and agencies, and Bac Yen district, joined the ambassador’s delegation.

Blackstone Minerals, an Australian mineral exploration and mining company, is carrying out two major projects in Son La province, comprising an expanded mining project at the Phuc hamlet nickel mine, and a nickel deep-processing plant in Phu Yen district.

These projects utilise Australia's advanced mining and mineral processing technologies and adhere to high safety and environmental protection standards.

 The delegation visits the drill core storage area of the Phuc hamlet nickel mine.

Through this visit, the ambassador gained insights into the operations of foreign-invested enterprises in Son La as well as its strengths and potential, helping the locality lure more investments in the time ahead.
