Extra efforts needed to soon turn Long Sap main border gate into international one

The first phase of the project has three main components: leveling the land plots according to the planning scheme; constructing a road system according to urban road standards; and constructing a technical infrastructure system. To date, all main items have been completed in line with the approved investment objectives, meeting the requirements for operation and use. Currently, the investor is finalising the project's settlement documents.

During the meeting, the investor reported and proposed the investment policy for the second phase, which includes the national gate combined with a joint and auxiliary control station; accommodations for border guard station staff; bonded warehouse; vehicle yard; inspection and weighing station; quarantine station; inspection and quarantine yard; preliminary processing yard; unloading yard; and departure bus station. Project implementation is scheduled to last from 2026 to 2029.

Regarding administrative reform, Long Sap commune has effectively reviewed, updated, and publicised administrative procedures as prescribed. The communal Public Administrative Service Centre has operated effectively with administrative procedures handled through the one-stop-shop and integrated one-stop-shop mechanisms. Since July 1, 2025, it has received 1,831 applications, including 1,007 online applications. Of the total, 1,826 applications, or 99.7%, have been resolved ahead of schedule.

After on-site inspections, Vice Chairman Hau requested the provincial Border Guard Command to finalise the project settlement dossier for the investment in the first phase; complete the final settlement report and submit it to the provincial Department of Finance; finalise the proposal for the investment policy of the second phase; and review and balance funding sources to implement this stage.

Regarding administrative reform, he urged the commune to continue promoting public awareness to encourage residents to submit applications online; effectively handle  administrative procedures online; and promote the digitalisation of records, thereby better serving the needs of organisations and citizens.
