Ground breaks on Muong Leo Primary - Secondary Boarding School

The provincial Military Command on October 22 held the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the Muong Leo Primary - Secondary Boarding School in Muong Leo commune. This is one of 13 inter-level schools being built in Son La province under the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW regarding the investment in the construction of schools for border communes.

Attending the event were representatives from the provincial Military Command, several provincial departments and agencies, as well as a large number of local residents, teachers, and students from Muong Leo commune.

The school, located in Lieng hamlet, covers an area of over 4.8 hectares and is designed to accommodate nearly 1,000 students. The project, constructed by Corporation 789 under the Ministry of National Defence, includes several facilities such as classrooms, an administrative building, dormitories for students and teachers, a canteen, a multipurpose gymnasium, a swimming pool, a parking area, and other auxiliary structures, all meeting the needs of teaching, learning, and physical training for students.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the provincial Military Command requested that local Party committee, authorities, forces, and people provide maximum support for site clearance and handover; ensure security and order; and be ready to assist with manpower and materials so that the project can be completed on schedule.

The construction unit, Corporation 789, was urged to uphold a high sense of responsibility, strictly comply with construction and investment regulations, mobilise sufficient human and material resources, and organise construction efficiently and safely to ensure “safety – quality – progress – efficiency – sustainability.”
