Groundbreaking ceremonies held for 2 boarding schools in Sop Cop and Muong Lan

The Son La provincial Civil and Industrial Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board held groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of two primary-secondary boarding schools in Sop Cop and Muong Lan communes.

The Son La provincial Civil and Industrial Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board breaks ground for the construction of the Sop Cop Primary-Secondary Boarding School.

These are two of the 13 inter-level schools being implemented in Son La province under Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo on the policy of investing in school construction for border communes.

The Sop Cop Primary-Secondary Boarding School is being built in Sop Nam hamlet, Sop Cop commune. The project owner is the provincial Civil and Industrial Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board.

The facility will include classroom buildings, a library, an administrative office building, and dormitories for both students and teachers. To ensure timely completion, construction units have committed to mobilising sufficient machinery and more than 100 workers to meet quality and schedule requirements.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Muong Lan Primary-Secondary Boarding School.

The Muong Lan Primary-Secondary Boarding School is located in Muong Lan hamlet, Muong Lan commune, covering an area of 4.9 hectares. It is designed to accommodate about 1,000 students. The project features modern infrastructure, including classroom buildings, a library, an administrative office building, dormitories for students and teachers, a dining hall, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a swimming pool, parking areas, and other auxiliary facilities, fully meeting the requirements for teaching, learning, and physical training.

After hearing reports on project progress and implementation plans, delegates officially broke ground for the construction of the two schools.
