Japan-Vietnam exchange association delegation visits Son La 

Leaders of Son La province have highlighted cooperation outcomes between the northern mountainous locality and Japanese partners over the past time at a recent working session with a visiting delegation from the Japan-Vietnam Exchange Association in Japan’s Miyagi prefecture.

Son La is home to three Japanese-invested projects, with one using official development assistance (ODA) loans and another using preferential loans of Japan. 

The Miyagi Japan-Vietnam Exchange Association presented 1,000 cherry blossom trees to Son La, which were planted in its Van Ho district. 

The Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee presents gifts to the Japanese delegation. 

The Japanese delegation thanked Son La for its warm welcome, and noted a hope for cooperation with the locality in workforce. The association also pledged to coordinate with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam to create optimal conditions for Son La’s workers in Japan, with relevant policies to be ensured, focusing on Japanese language teaching and nursing training. 

The Miyagi Japan-Vietnam Exchange Association presents 1 million JPY to Son La province. 

On this occasion, the Miyagi Japan-Vietnam Exchange Association presented 1 million JPY (7,036 USD) to help poor families and people with disabilities in Son La on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973).
